ElectricalToolbox ("we," "this site") provides free NEC electrical calculators. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site and why.

What we don't collect

There are no user accounts on this site. Calculator inputs (voltage, current, wire size, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to us or stored.

Email signup

This site has an optional email signup (in the footer and on the downloads page). If you enter your email, it is sent to MailerLite, the email service this site uses, and added to a list for people who signed up through the site. New subscribers receive an automated welcome email with a free NEC formula sheet. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Signing up is never required to use any calculator on this site, and no tool or download is ever blocked behind it.

Analytics

If you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site, which outbound links are clicked and their link text, and general device/location information. This data is anonymized in aggregate and is not used to identify you individually. If you decline or ignore the cookie banner, no analytics script loads, no analytics cookies are set, and no link clicks are recorded. If your browser blocks storage entirely, your choice cannot be saved and the banner will ask again on each page; otherwise you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and reloading the page.

Affiliate links

Some pages include links to third-party products and services relevant to electrical trade work: Jobber (business software, tracked through the PartnerStack affiliate network) and Mike Holt Enterprises (NEC training and exam prep, tracked through their in-house affiliate program). These links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page source. If you click one, the destination site sets a tracking cookie so a later purchase can be credited to us; the Mike Holt link sets a cookie that lasts one year. If you make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These cookies are set by clicking through, not by the cookie consent banner above. Declining that banner stops us recording the click, but does not stop the destination site setting its own cookie. We only link to services relevant to the page's topic.

Advertising

This site does not currently run display advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated first to disclose which ad network is used and what cookies or tracking it sets, before any ads go live.
